REPATRIATION SERVICES
International & Domestic Retrieval Services and Retrieval Coordination
IMR provide clinicians specialized in aviation medicine and road transport that are able to rapidly deploy to remote or hostile areas, provide immediate stabilization care and accompany patients to rendezvous with international retrieval services.
The provision of emergency medical treatment in remote locations is always limited logistically, especially when there is a need for surgery or ongoing urgent medical care.
In such emergencies time is the critical factor. Aero medical transfer either by helicopter or fixed wing aircraft is often the most expeditious and efficient means of transport. The treatment of patients at altitude and in the cramped noisy and mobile environment of aircraft, or even a road vehicle, requires extensive specialist training and experience – IMR have the experts and the experience to achieve this.
IMR will use its own air assets where and when available but will identify appropriate air ambulance providers and set up site specific emergency evacuation procedures in consultation with the clients insurance provider where necessary.
If the client needs a dedicated fixed wing or helicopter ambulance on standby IMR will arrange this using the most appropriate aircraft for the location and in the most cost-effective manner.
